Mongol Girl On Horseback

We came across this young Mongolian girl on horseback as we were traversing Mongolia in our old, Russian made four wheel drive van. It seems like horseback is the preferred method of travel in Mongolia no matter what your age! I would be surprised if there is a native Mongol who hasn't learned to ride by the time they are four years old! At one point we were fortunate enough to witness a recreation of a Mongolian Horde battle on horseback..a celebration of the great Genghis Khan.
