Silhouetted Elephant

The drama of nature is revealed as this elephant is silhouetted against the orange clouds of a sunset sky in an image that also indicates the power and strength of the huge Pachyderm. The elephant is seen from a low angle as he raises his trunk to trumpet his call to the fellow members of his herd. The image offers not just a dramatic visual, but provides ample copy space and cropping options for a wide variety of uses.

Rescue Elephants In Thailand

I photographed this elephant in Thailand while visiting an elephant rescue center. The rescue center was a couple of hours outside of Bangkok. It was at the Anantara Resort that I spent several days learning to be an elephant Mahout (handler) learn to care for the big creatures as well as a half dozen ways to mount and dismount elephants. Great fun!

Endangered Elephants

This is an excellent image for bringing attention to the plight of endangered elephants. The elephant is portrayed in a majestic way, and the symbology of the sun setting on the elephant cannot be missed.  Other concepts illustrated by this elephant image is are those of solitude and getting away from it all.
